Stitch the Saints began with St. Joseph and quickly grew into a list of saints celebrated in thread. Some I’ve stitched, some I’ve only created a pattern at the request of someone with a special dedication.

Each pattern in the series is either 4×6 inches or 5×7 inches for the finished size. The font stays the same across the series, but colors and embellishments change to reflect the traits of the particular saint. Saint Michael has a fiery sword. Saint Therese a shower of roses. Some lesser known saints, such as Saint Felix, are depicted with a crown and martyrs’ palms. The most complex pattern in the series to date is Saint John the Baptist, with a gradient of honey yellows running through his name and teensy split stitch honeycombs around the edges.
